Sarah attended Birthwise Midwifery School in Bridgeton, Maine. In 2006, she became a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and began attending home births. In 2008 she returned to school to become a Certified Nurse Midwife. She received an Associates of Applied Science from Morehead State University in 2010 and became an RN. In 2014 she received a Masters of Midwifery from Stonybrook University and became a licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Certified Nurse Midwife in Kentucky. Since then she has completed the Lactation Consultant Training Program with Lactation Education Resources and became a La Leche League leader. See her complete resume here. Sarah has taken part in over 480 births. She is a native Lexingtonian and lives in Lexington with her husband, Erik and their two daughters, Anabelle and River. When not engaged in midwifery she enjoys playing board games, cuddling cats, watching chickens, knitting, sewing, amateur home renovations, and many other crafty activities.
Tress is a Licensed Certified Professional Midwife. She completed her training in 2020 and holds degrees in sociology, and anthropology from Oregon State University. She was trained as a Direct Entry Midwife in Washington State and practiced as a midwife there before relocating to Kentucky. In Kentucky, Tress has been an Evidence based birth childbirth educator and Dancing for Birth instructor, and practiced as a doula in Kentucky for 12 years before returning to midwifery. Tress received the Certified Professional Midwife credential from NARM and became licensed in Kentucky in early 2022. She has been a part of over 330 births. You can see her full resume here
Tress lives in Berea with her husband, Jason. She is the mother of three adult children, and has two grandchildren. She strives to enjoy the simple things in life, when not working you can find her listening to live music, dancing, singing, or doing projects. She is an avid reader and her life motto is, "Learn something new every day."
