At Home Sweet Home Midwifery, we value the inclusion and mentoring of the future generation of midwives. Our students have been carefully screened and are enrolled in a midwifery program for the didactic portion of their training. They have set goals for their clinical training with us.
We always value client feedback on student involvement.
We are confident you will love our students as much as we do!
Laura began her midwifery journey as a student at Mercy in Action College of Midwifery in 2021 and has been a student with Home Sweet Home since August 2022. She comes to midwifery after six years practicing as a doula in her home community in southeastern Kentucky. This community is where Laura and her husband happily raise their four children and plan to stay after she completes school. She’s perpetually honored to serve families throughout the childbearing year.
Madison is a midwifery student at Midwives College of Utah. Prior to beginning midwifery school in 2022, Madison was enrolled in a nursing program and worked as a nursing assistant for 4 years. She loves travel, outdoor activities, and spending time with her family (including her cat). After finishing her midwifery degree and getting licensed, she plans to practice in her hometown region of central Kentucky.
